Tired but Blessed
Last night was probably the worst all nighter of three in a row. Ian got up at least 7x! Needless to say we are walking in a fog. Will was going to go fishing early this morning, however, he passed due to exhaustion. We then opted for breakfast out, pick up the cable box (we always cancel cable during the summer and pick it back up for football season), buy some bins to help organize, refuel at Harborside Coffee, and make a bath and nail clip appointment for Honey Bear. We then took turns playing with Ailish on the playground. Its amazing how we did not spill our coffee while going down the slide with her. Then lunch and nap time. Sad to say while our munchkins napped at the same time Will and I were so tired we couldn't fall asleep. Ailish had fun sharing and playing kick ball with the neighborhood girls tonight. She has a great kick! Since Will was on duty he had his pager on him during dinner. However, it was not working and he had to return it, but not until after bath time. Ailish loves daddy to be there and says, "I want Daddy!" with the biggest sweetest smile and sparkling eyes! After her bath Will headed for the hanger. Here comes the blessing part. Will ran into a co-worker while switching pagers and the co-worker gave him some Silver Salmon that he had caught! Is that not a blessing or what?! God is so good to provide for us. I am thankful we are not alone in this tired state called parenting. One of my close friends has two little ones about the same ages as Ailish and Ian. We had the pleasure of talking to one another yesterday, so I asked her, "Shanna, how many cups of coffee do you drink a day?" She replied "Are we talking mugs or thermoses?" Glad to know we are on the same page.
